Carefree travel, relaxed holidays: hygiene tips for the holiday season

We’ve all been waiting for it: summer – and the opportunity to finally go on holiday again. However, hygiene should not be left behind. Tips from Satino by WEPA will get you safely to your destination and back in good health.

Carefree, not careless: that’s the motto for this summer season – after all, there’s still no all-clear in terms of coronavirus. Even though many trips are possible, hotels, restaurants or camping sites are reopening and some of us are already fully vaccinated: hygiene will continue to play an important role in our everyday lives – for the sake of everyone’s health. We at Satino by WEPA make an essential contribution with our products for safe hand hygiene.

The simplest hygiene rules?

Social distancing, hand washing, masks and ventilation. Wherever many people meet, these are the most effective and easiest methods to prevent infections.

  • Social distancing provides protection. Out in fresh air, the risk of infection is lower, but in closed rooms, ventilation and keeping a distance are essential to protect against infectious aerosols. Where social distancing is not possible, go for your mask.
  • Masks need to be in your luggage just like your sunglasses. In closed rooms, at the airport, on a plane, on a train or on a ship, they are the easiest way to protect yourself – as long as the mask is dry. Since masks have to be changed or disposed of regularly, make sure you have a supply in your luggage.
  • Thorough hand washing with soap and water remains the order of the day. This includes hand drying, as germs feel particularly at home on damp skin. Hand drying is most hygienically done with disposable paper towels – as provided by Satino by WEPA. The paper towel’s friction safely removes any bacteria that may still be present on the hands; afterwards, the towel paper is discarded. Paper towels can also be used to maintain hygiene when touching washroom door handles.
  • Wherever hand washing is not possible, sanitisers are the alternative of choice. Public areas offer them via dispensers, and you can find matching formats for your pocket or purse. In addition, sanitisers are also ideal for surfaces, for example tables, door handles, cabinet handles or hotel remote controls.

In the pandemic, solidarity is particularly needed – every one of us bears responsibility not only for themselves, but also for all others. With a few rules, a little attention and understanding, it all becomes doable.

Health experts remind us that elevated hygiene requirements will remain with us for a long time to come. We at Satino by WEPA see this as a mission: we want to set a standard with our products. After all, the more good hygiene goes without saying, the easier and safer life becomes – for all of us and for each individual.
