A seal for more quality: dermatologically tested hygiene papers

Taken for granted but hardly ever questioned: each use of hygiene paper means skin contact. Now Satino by WEPA provides official verification of the skin compatibility of its hygiene papers – thanks to a scientific test procedure that packs a punch.

Taken for granted but hardly ever questioned: each use of hygiene paper means skin contact. Now Satino by WEPA provides official verification of the skin compatibility of its hygiene papers – thanks to a scientific test procedure that packs a punch.

It is not only quality, cost and sustainability that play a role when deciding on a product – consumer safety is also an important factor. Accreditations for quality, such as the Blue Angel for environmental friendliness, provide suitable information in this regard. They provide orientation and are a quality feature that is becoming increasingly important in private households, companies and public procurement.

Safe hygiene products through an accredited test procedure

In order to verify the skin compatibility of our hygiene papers in a safe and scientifically sound manner, we at Satino by WEPA rely on a test carried out by the renowned Dermatest® GmbH. Dermatest® is the world's first company to have an accredited procedure* that assesses skin compatibility directly on people. This is based on the guideline of the German Dermatological Society (DDG) and the German Society for Allergology and Clinical Immunology (DGAKI) on "Performance of the epicutaneous test with contact allergens" (AWMF guideline register). The Satino by WEPA products analysed meet the highest quality and safety standards which are thus verifiable.

A seal for consumer safety and quality

Having passed the test, all tested hygiene papers from Satino by WEPA – thereby including paper towels and toilet papers from the Satino Smart, Satino Comfort, Satino Prestige and Satino PureSoft product lines – are permitted to bear the original Dermatest® seal: skin compatibility is thus confirmed. This is important proof of consumer safety and the quality of our products, and yet another indication of the performance of our Satino by WEPA brand.

The current quality seals and specifications for individual hygiene paper products from Satino by WEPA can be found on the specific product pages on the web!

* The procedure was accredited by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 as the very first test procedure of its kind.
